Frankye Payne is a Chicago native with over eleven years of experience in architecture, community development and urban planning. She functions in a wide range of project leadership and management capacities for communities within the City of Chicago. Many of these projects are from grassroots organizations and nonprofits.
In this brief time, she has spent most of her career as a community advocate and brings a unique perspective to City challenges as the Director of Chicago Main Streets. Frankye advocates for support and equality in Chicago’s underserved communities with the goal of increased development as well as political and economic growth.
