A memorandum of understanding is a legal document explaining an intended partnership between two organizations. It can be used to define the roles of each organization in the partnership and define the scope of the partnership. It is not a legally binding contract. This template includes the common sections included in a memorandum of understanding and provides space for you to add information about your organization, your partner(s), the purpose and scope of the partnership, and the duties of each organization. Simply fill in the blanks to craft your own memorandum of understanding to use as you build partnerships.
